The homeowners have a beautiful modern decor home, and wanted something that would
match their decor.  This is the entry wall just inside their front door looking up.  The
homeowners had a good idea of what they were looking for. After consultation , they
decided on large faux panels of brushed steel from staircase to ceiling (18' high) with rivets
along the outer edges.  This particular project took about 30 hours to complete-much
ladder work involved. One layer of the paint was a silver metallic, I only wish the camera
would show the sheen of the silver, better , instead of looking black and white. The final
product which you will see below,  was absolutely fantastic. When you enter their home, it is
as if there are large panels of brushed steel riveted together as you ascend or descend
their staircase.  What a fun one this was, it's not often that I have the opportunity to create
something so unique...I loved the outcome!  This may not suit everyone's taste, (for the
homeowners decor it was absolutely perfect) but it will give you a good understanding, that
absolutely any paint process is possible on any wall. What a transformation!
Thank you to the homeowners Dawn & Bryan

The other walls  that I did in their home, also, started off as white, and went through two stages.
I first used a mustard color, and washed over with an orange glaze.  The effect was beautiful,
but once I finished, the wall was a  brighter, and darker than we had originally discussed; so I
washed on one more layer of the original mustard to warm up and soften the space.  Turned
out perfect, the homeowners have beautiful accent lighting against this color in their living room,
which just helps the wall color to glow as you can see below.  The first set of pictures is the
darker wall before I  re-washed. The art pieces on these walls, are not my work. Keep scrolling
down for the finished product.
Below is the final product.  This wall was so alive with warmth, and  a perfect backdrop to accent
the  white sofa, the unique lighting, and modern feel.  The border-less "Red Sunset" canvas
below is one of mine.  The homeowner specified to keep the canvas in the modern/ minimal
style, also specified a preference for  red; beyond that I had the freedom to create the canvas,
which was 36" x 48" ,  The color wash on the background walls on the last coat, really changed
the feel of the room, muted the brightness and  gave room a very rustic warm feel.  Just goes to
show you, once again, that anything can be accomplished with paint, and nothing is set in
stone, colors can always be tweaked, and sometimes you find the most beautiful colors that
way!
Thanks again to the homeowners Bryan & Dawn
